The Silvretta alpine road takes you from the Montafon valley in Vorarlberg, via the Bielerhöhe saddle and the Silvretta range, into the Tyrolean Paznaun valley. The 25.4 km long section between Partenen and Galtür is one of the most popular and attractive mountain roads in the Austrian Alps.
The Silvretta route is simply one of the loveliest and most popular mountain roads in the Alps. Set against the fabulous backdrop of the Silvretta range, the neighbouring Vermunt and Silvretta lakes, part of the local hydro-electric scheme, cast their spell over drivers and walkers alike.
A trip by motorboat through the mountain scenery of the Silvretta is a very special experience. It has to be - this is the only motor boat trip in Europe to operate at an altitude of over 2000 metres above sea level! Only from the deck of a boat can you experience the SIlvretta's fabulous mountain scenery from a different perspective. The round trip last approx. 30 minutes.
