Great diversity on the borders of four countries

The principality of Liechtenstein offers a surprising diversity of culture, gastronomy and natural scenery. Sandwiched in between Switzerland and Austria, it is the fourth smallest state in Europe. The climate shows drastic changes between the lower part of the country in the mild Rhine valley, and the high alpine regions which rise to a height of 2,599 metres. With only 37,000 inhabitants, this little mountainous country remains something of a well-kept secret.

Vaduz, seat of the princely palace, government and national parliament, is the capital of Liechtenstein. In its central pedestrian zone a selection of pleasant little cafés invite you to linger. Its numerous cultural attractions: art gallery, national museum, post museum, Engländerbau gallery and a selection of private studios, give visitors an insight into the country's unexpected diversity.
